Ministry Opportunities

Love Line is the lifeline to the Women’s Ministries Department, our missionary family, and various ministries that are dependent upon us to support them as they fulfill the call God has placed upon them.

Churches and Women’s Ministries groups are encouraged to set a group GOAL in raising funds for Love Line within a given time period. Individuals desiring to make a personal commitment beyond the group goal may also do so. There is no specific pledge amount for church group or individual goals.

Love Line offerings may be sent to the Women's Ministries Department at any time. Make checks payable to SNED
and send to Women’s Ministries, PO Box 535, Sturbridge, MA 01566-0535.

Have you hugged your missionary today?

Southern New England missionaries, foreign and home, are in need of adoption! Care Force is a friendship program bringing women and girls together with the missionary family. A missionary says, “Only eternity will reveal the blessing of being ‘adopted’. . .Your love notes and goodies lift the spirits of missionaries and their kids. Thanks for your wonderful embrace.”

Women's Ministries groups and individuals are asked to bring gift cards to the Spring Connections.  They will be held by the district Women's Ministries office to be given to home and foreign missionaries.

This will enable our missionaries to get EXACTLY what they need -- whether it’s household items, clothing, toys or Clinique!

Why the name? ALL those gift cards you buy fit perfectly in a SHOEBOX!
So, go out and visit your local J. C. Penney, Sears, Target, Wal-Mart, Staples and Home Depot and buy gift cards/certificates to give to our missionaries. This way they can shop and plan to fit their specific needs.

Guidelines for gift cards/certificates:
1. Gift cards/certificates should be in denominations of $25, $50 & $100.
2. Stores from which to purchase cards to make sure they are readily available in the area and would provide a variety of products and price ranges:
a. WalMart
b. Target
c. JC Penney
d. Sears
e. Staples
f. Home Depot
3. Gift cards/certificates should have no expiration date.
4. Gift cards/certificates should be submitted with no designation to a specific missionary, but should have a designation from the church to receive credit.

This will enable the Women’s Ministries Department to keep a record of giving and provide the missionary with a church to which they can send thanks.

In 2007, at our Spring Connections we were able to bless six missionary families with $3,000 worth of gift cards. Throughout the year we have been able to bless even more missionaries when we are made aware of their needs.

The Women's Ministries Prayer Network offers women an opportunity to minister wherever they are. By uniting with women from across the district in prayer for specific Prayer Targets, we lay hold of the promises of God’s Word.

We are currently seeking a Prayer Network Leader.  If you are interested in leading this important ministry, contact Judy at the District Office.

There are currently 145 women who have committed themselves to pray faithfully for the 10 Prayer Targets focusing on Southern New England churches, pastors and their families, communities, leadership, missions at home and abroad, children and youth. You can become a part of this growing number by completing the Prayer Network Commitment Form and returning it to the Women’s Ministries office.
